Unilateral Mastectomy
In a unilateral mastectomy, it is possible to create before the mastectomy a mold of the existing nipple with areola. A prosthesis can be made from this mold that is almost identical to the natural nipple. This provides a custom solution that perfectly matches the individual anatomy and aesthetics of the patient. The patient receives a prosthesis that not only shows a high level of aesthetic similarity but also offers comfort and confidence in daily life.

If the patient AFTER THE MASTECTOMY would like a nipple prosthesis on the reconstructed breast, we can create a custom-made nipple that matches in mirror image the other nipple. The custom-made nipples with areola, including visible bumps (the Montgomery glands), are handmade from high-quality silicone by breast cancer survivors. They know better than anyone what needs are important to you.
These nipple prostheses can be used just a few days after the removal of the stitches. They look identical to natural nipples and are perfectly in harmony with the reconstructed breast.
